LiftOff C.H.A.T.S

LiftOff CHATS (where CHATS stands for Community, Health, Arts, Technology, and Sciences) is meant to be an open house type event which creates a space that allows for entrepreneurs, industry & business professionals, creatives, and community members, to experience and interact with each other via networking, talent displays, showcasing, and community engagement. At this event, we also want to be able to display our Black founders, especially our newest additions, and show the community what they are doing as well as have an opportunity for them to be able to sell whatever products they may have.

This July, this C.H.A.T.S. event is focused on the arts, and we will be showcasing the art forms that Waterloo Region has to offer. Black artistry has helped to mold and shape this community, and we want to showcase Black art in all its forms. From singing to film production to painting, various kinds of artistry will be on display and even for sale.

This event will consist of a panel of local artists speaking about their creative expression, their journey as an artist, and the work they have done and will continue to do. There will also be an open mic session for all artists attending to be able to share their talent with those watching and listening. There will also be prizes being awarded and given away to attendees for coming and being a part of our event.
